I’ve been away
I’ve been absent for a reason.
Jez and I split up on February 13th. The last few weeks have been tremendously stressful, but we’re not doing too badly considering.
It didn’t end nastily or messily, we’d just stopped making each other happy. But when we were happy, we were happy. We’ve spent some unforgettable times together and it’s those we will remember, I hope, not the difficult couple of months that ended our relationship. And we’d tried, God knows we’d tried. It was just no longer worth it. We are completely different people from the two who met in May 2006, but we needed to meet each other in order to become those two people. We’ve learnt a lot from each other, and we’ve helped each other, by believing in each other, by loving each other, by sharing a love of so many things.
I don’t know if I’ll carry on with this blog. It seems a bit unfair since a lot of it was about our life together. But I’m still reading all your blogs avidly.
Right now my priorities are to get a massive amount of uni work done so I can graduate, to settle in properly back at Mum and Dad’s, to learn the opera roles I have coming up in May, June and July, to plan my summer in Venice, and to sort myself out financially. Sorting out the rest of my life will take a little longer, but I’m less scared of that than I was.
